Privacy notice

Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), ARTED Mühendislik Makina Elektrik Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi (“ARTED Mühendislik”), as data controller, processes the personal data of people who visit our website and contact us as described in this notice.

This is an English translation provided for information. In case of any discrepancy, the Turkish version prevails.

1. What personal data do we process?

• Identity and contact details: your name, phone number, email address, company and job title, as shared when you call us or write to us by email or WhatsApp.
• Request and correspondence details: the content of your messages and information about your quotation, project or partnership requests.
• Security data: server logs kept technically by our hosting server when you visit the site, such as IP address, date and time, browser details and the page visited.

2. Why do we process your personal data?

• To respond to your requests, communicate with you and prepare quotations,
• To set up and carry out contracts,
• To keep our website secure and working properly,
• To meet our legal obligations and respond to requests from authorised bodies.

3. Legal grounds

We process your personal data on the following legal grounds under Article 5(2) of the KVKK:

• It is directly related to setting up or performing a contract (point c),
• It is necessary for us to meet a legal obligation (point ç),
• It is necessary to establish, exercise or protect a right (point e),
• It is necessary for our legitimate interests, provided your fundamental rights and freedoms are not harmed (point f); for example, keeping the site secure.

4. How do we collect personal data?

We collect your personal data from you when you call us or write to us by email or WhatsApp, and collect server logs automatically when you visit our website.

5. Who do we share personal data with?

Limited to the purposes above, we may share your personal data with:

• The hosting provider that runs the technical infrastructure of our website and email,
• Legally authorised public bodies, when they request it,
• Our legal and financial advisers, when needed.

Transfers abroad: Fonts, images and other content on our site are served from our own server; no data is sent to third parties automatically while you browse. However:

• If you choose to load the map in the contact section with the “Load map” button, the map is provided by Google LLC and some data, such as your IP address, is sent to Google.
• If you choose to write to us on WhatsApp, your conversation runs on WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) infrastructure.

These services may have servers outside Türkiye. In that case, depending on your own choice to use them, your data may be transferred abroad under Article 9 of the KVKK. You do not have to use these services; you can also reach us by phone or email.

6. How long do we keep it?

We keep your personal data for as long as the purpose of processing requires and for the periods set by the applicable legislation. When these periods end, your data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

7. Cookies

Our site does not use cookies and contains no analytics tools that track visitors. If you load the map, Google may use its own cookies, which are subject to Google's privacy policy.

8. Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to apply to us to:

1. Learn whether your personal data is processed,
2. Request information about it if it has been processed,
3. Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly,
4. Know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, to whom it is transferred,
5. Request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate,
6. Request its deletion or destruction under the conditions of Article 7 of the KVKK,
7. Request that the actions under (e) and (f) be notified to third parties to whom the data was transferred,
8. Object to a result against you that arises from analysis of the data exclusively by automated systems,
9. Claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.

9. How to apply

You can send requests about your rights, together with information that identifies you, in line with the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Application to the Data Controller:

• In writing to our address: Karayılan Mah. Karayılan 5 Sk. No: 1, İskenderun / Hatay,
• From an email address you have previously given us and that is in our records, to info@artedmuhendislik.com.tr.

We will conclude your request free of charge as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest. If the process involves an additional cost, a fee may be charged according to the tariff set by the Personal Data Protection Board.
